This week Pastor Tom continued his series Never Give In - Never Give Up, with part three - Wait On the Lord's Timing. In 1 Corinthians 10:7, Paul refers to the story of the Israelites found in Exodus 32. Paul uses stories in the Old Testament as types and shadows for living in the New Testament. In Exodus 32, we see the story of how the Israelites didn't wait on God's timing. They grew impatient while waiting for Moses to come down from the mountain and demanded Aaron to make them an idol to worship.
God expects us to wait and rely on him for help in living a Christian life, in doing so, he will empower us to make the right decisions and choices. Psalm 37:14 - "Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And he shall strengthen your heart; Wait I say, on the Lord!"
With the right heart, you will be in the timing of the Lord. As you repent, you will see the hand of God in your life and then you will find out his timing.
