This week Pastor Tom gave part 4 of his series Never Give In - Never Give Up with a message titled, The Fight of your Life. In 1 Corinthians 10, Paul refers to Old Testament stories as examples for us today. Pastor Tom focuses on the story found in Numbers 25 that Paul referenced in 1 Cor. 10:7-8. He gives clarity as to what happened to the Israelites in Acacia Grove that led to God destroying over 23,000 of them.
Pastor Tom said there are times when God plants us in places where there is evil, not to tempt us, but to allow us to be a light. We are there to make a difference in their lives, not the other way around. Galatians 5:16-18- "Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and they're contrary to one another, so you do not do the things you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law." If you are led by the Spirit, you actually change your fleshly desires.
Watch this message and learn from the story in Numbers 25. You are facing the fight of your life and you need to "stay strong in your faith, stay strong in the Word of God, and stay strong in the things of God."
