This week Pastor Tom continues his Never Give In - Never Give Up series with a message titled Suck It Up and Shut Up. He tells us that life is challenging and in 1 Corinthian 10, Paul invites us to not give in or give up. God has called us to be MORE than conquerors (we not only win our battles but we help others win theirs).
In Numbers 14, we see the example of Israel rebelling against God because of fear. Pastor Tom points out that, "Fear will make you make decisions that later you will regret because it will cost you dearly." The Israelites complained and rebelled against Moses out of fear and the result was they were denied entrance to the promised land and died in the wilderness. "The heart of rebellion is not believing God."
In Philippians 4:11-13, we find the answer to complaining is contentment, vs. 11 - "Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am in, to be content."
Please watch this message and learn the invaluable lesson that through gratitude and contentment for what we do have, God will strengthen us for what we don't have.
