Continuing Encounter Weekend on Saturday night, was guest speaker Pastor John Finochio, from Crossroads Life Church.
His message was on Labels. He talked about how labels identify and categorize people. He discussed how labels that people place on us can be limiting, but a label by God can lift us up. Pastor John pointed out that one encounter with God can change our label. He recounted the story of Jacob. Jacob's name means supplanter, but God changed his name to Israel which means triumphant with God.
When God labels us, He releases us from our past.
