This week's message was given by a special guest speaker, William Wood. William is a former atheist who, while on his deathbed, had a life-changing encounter with Jesus. His passionate, Spirit-filled message is on Being An Imager of God.
We were made in the image of God, Genesis 1:26 - "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness..." We are here to represent God and His values. William explains that in America people have a "Christian/Atheist dynamic", they believe God is real but live their lives as if He isn't. The body of Christ is called to represent His physical presence on earth.
The world doesn't reject Jesus, it rejects the misrepresentation of Jesus by so-called Christians. He goes on to say that when you give your life to Jesus, you are giving up your right to represent yourself. God gave us the free will to do this because He doesn't want slaves, He wants sons and daughters. "Submission must be voluntary, otherwise it is slavery."
