This week Pastor Josh continued his series Stewarding Finances with a message titled, Staying Out of the Ditches. In this message he elaborates on what the two ditches are that we need to avoid: the poverty mentality and the prosperity/materialism mentality. He points out that possessions are neutral, they take on the character of the owner. "It's not things and money that is evil - it's evil if they become more important than God. It's not what you have but what you do with it."
Pastor Josh explained the problem with a poverty mindset or a riches mindset is you have THINGS on your mind instead of God. Luke 12:31 - "But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well."
We encourage you to watch this message and learn that by living a life of generosity, you can begin to understand God's generosity.
