What does a life filled with the Spirit look like? Pastor Josh answers this question in his new series, Filled With the Word. In Part One titled Overflow, he points out that when you are filled with God's Spirit it begins to overflow. Overflow is when you receive so much love from God, that you can't help but love others. Ephesians 3:14-20 is the theme scripture for this series. Vs. 19 "and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." Pastor Josh explains that the primary reason we are filled with the Spirit is to empower us to give proper ministry and worship to God. If we are filled with the Spirit, whenever we are tested, the character of God comes out and glorifies Him and we experience righteousness, peace, and joy. Romans 4:17- "For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit."
